Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant made it clear that he is dedicated to the franchise, despite multiple claims that he is frustrated with the team due to its struggles on the court to win games.

Reports of Durant’s frustration of him date back to his performance in the Suns’ 128–114 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day. Ahead of the Western Conference clash on Dec. 25, ESPN reported that Durant was annoyed by the team’s “underwhelming supporting cast” along with Bradley Beal missing games.

Then, a day after the loss, former NBA player Brandon Jennings tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) that Durant “should leave the Suns.” Although Durant isn’t happy with the Suns current state on the hardwood, he dismissed the claim that he wants to play for another team.

“I don’t want to get traded,” Durant told Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports after the team’s 138–111 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. “I’m not frustrated because Brad [Beal] was injured. I wasn’t frustrated because of the role players on the team. That s— really was ignorant to me.

Durant rejected the idea that he could seek a trade from the Suns amid the team’s struggles.

“It’s like, yeah, we lose a game—you think I’m supposed to be happy after we lose a game?” Durant added. “I’m not frustrated with the whole situation. I may be frustrated at the moment, at a bad play or a tough stretch. But nah, I enjoy the grind.”

The Suns (19–18) have lost five of their last 10 games that includes Monday’s loss. Currently, Durant is averaging 29.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game as the Suns sit at ninth in the Western Conference standings.
