Former WWE star Velveteen Dream, known for his memorable run in NXT, has kicked off 2024 with a public apology. In 2020, he faced sexual misconduct allegations. WWE reportedly investigated the incident but found no evidence of wrongdoing. Despite that, hashtags like Fire Velveteen Dream started emerging and trending whenever he appeared on NXT programming.

Furthermore, the storm of allegations resulted in his release from WWE in 2021. This concluded a chapter marked by negative headlines. Dream was released from his WWE contract after five months of inactivity.

Now, it seems Velveteen Dream, real name Patrick Clark Jr., is aiming to turn the page on his tumultuous past and start a new chapter in his wrestling career and personal life.

The former WWE Superstar took to social media earlier today to share a video in which he extended a sincere apology for his actions and behavior over the past few years. Dream directed apologies to specific individuals, including Triple H, Shawn Michaels, WWE, the wrestling community, and his family.

While acknowledging negative narratives and internet criticisms, he refrained from specifying incidents, instead choosing to focus on taking responsibility for his actions over the last three years.

As Dream seeks redemption, fans are left wondering about the potential new chapter in his career and life in 2024.

The reasons behind Velveteen Dream’s WWE release

Former WWE star Velveteen Dream, who debuted in Tough Enough in 2015, impressed WWE officials despite not winning. Officially signed in 2015, he debuted on NXT in 2017.

At the NXT Takeover WarGames the same year, he faced Aleister Black, gaining attention and praise from fans and fellow wrestlers. In 2019, he even went on to win the NXT North American Championship and a promising future awaited him until 2020 when he faced accusations of sending indecent images to underage boys on Instagram.

The storm of allegations led to his 2021 WWE release, concluding a chapter marred by negative headlines. In 2022, a battery and trespassing case against Velveteen Dream closed. Soon after, he embarked on a personal rehabilitation journey, making significant progress and focusing on personal growth.
