NFL players are some of the biggest, most physically imposing human beings you could possibly imagine.
And Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, at 6’6” and 310 pounds, is a big dude even by NFL standards.
So it was quite the visual when CBS cameras spotted Jones shedding tears during “The Star-Spangled Banner” as performed by country music star Reba McEntire prior to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. It evoked the sight of Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni tearing up during the national anthem before last year’s Super Bowl.
Kudos to Jones for being confident enough to let his emotions flow and allow fans to see his softer side.
